We want every visit to be a pleasant experience, beginning with your very first visit to our dental office.
You can minimize the time you must take off from work for your appointment by downloading our new patient paperwork, completing it at your convenience, and bringing it to your initial appointment. Doing this can shave 10-15 minutes off the total time you spend in our office.
Your first appointment will take approximately an hour and a half. We will take a full set of digital X-rays and photographs of your teeth and gums. We also will perform a periodontal probing to measure the gums and chart the pocket depths to gauge your gum health. Gathering all this data gives us a baseline for your overall dental health.
Teeth Cleanings
Have you had your teeth cleaned twice in the past 12 months? If so, your first visit likely will include a professional teeth cleaning in addition to your comprehensive exam.
If it has been a while since you had your teeth cleaned, there’s a good chance that you may need further treatment, and a cleaning might not be done at this appointment.
